​Just back from Christmas Break 1C carried out the statistics activity 'The Skittles Challenge'! The students each got a packet of skittles and had to tally the number of each colour. They then went around to other members of the class and gathered their data. At each stage of data gathering the students worked out the mean, mode and median and investigated how these numbers changed as they gathered more information. It was a fun and simple intro into data gathering and eating the skittles at the end was a nice bonus!!!
